We all have issues and concerns: unmet needs, trauma history, hurts, relationship conflicts, work stress and more. Often these issues may become overwhelming and interfere with the life you have created. As a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience I work effectively with adults seeking to heal from depression, anxiety, manage work stress, and couples who desire a more loving relationship. The theoretical orientation I utilize are interventions based on your individual needs. My work experience may include utilizing a psychodynamic approach which explores the impact of your history on your present wellbeing, or cognitive behavioral therapy which addresses the mind, emotion and behavior connection, or solution focus therapy which is more of a problem solving approach.
My strengths originate in my Christian background. I work collaboratively with you, utilizing your strengths in both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral modalities as we work towards your goal to enhance the quality of your life.
In terms of my formal education, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California (USC). I have years of experience working in the mental health field in outpatient settings. I have maintained a private practice since 2014 providing individual, couples or group psychotherapy with adult clients. I am on the panel of select insurance companies and also accept private pay.
I am available for appointments virtually (often referred to as telemedicine or telehealth) and in person one day during the week and Saturday mornings.
